weekly racing Updates
5/21/2018 - Cold Cyclocross-like weather greeted our Cat 5 night last week, but that didn't stop the racing (especially at the entry level) from being fantastic. Many new faces took to the track for the very first time on Thursday to experience what the Ed Rudolph Velodrome is all about and we're really excited to keep seeing them throughout the season! If there's any questions about upgrading you can check the official procedures above and see where you're at points-wise with our official upgrade tracker.
Kicking off the Cat 5's results, the xXx Track Cat 5 Road Cat 1/2's squad came out in numbers (Aaron Baker, Chris Young, Jim Maddock, Ryan Fay) and put some good digs on the field in a display of roadie form. Baker (xXx) and Maddock (xXx) ended up taking all three wins on the night. Meanwhile in the 4's field, Chris Witek (Intent) and Konrad (Witt) took the night of racing as they each close in on their Cat 3 upgrades. Newcomer Alejandro Villada (Intent) and Thomas Kehrer each took top spots in their fields, both liking their chances to qualify for the men's 1/2 field's 10 Mile event coming up this week. On the women's side, a combined field saw some good action as Maria Larkin (CCC) and Megan Buescher (xXx) attacked the field several times but not before Courtney O'Neill (xXx) and Francine Haas (PACT) took home the wins. Finally, the Kenosha Velosport Juniors swept the night between the Le Denmat's and Jacob Zondlak while the xXx duo of Tyler George and Jake Buescher swept the men's elites.
Next up on Thursday 5/24 is our first of two Ten Mile record attempts. Come out and try your luck at setting the record! Flyer for the night is here.
